Lucy Benning DC (MChiro)

Doctor of Chiropractic – Clinic Director

Lucy holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology and is a graduate of the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with her Masters of Chiropractic degree (MChiro) who has been practicing for over a decade.

Since graduating Lucy has continued to expand her knowledge and has qualified in western medical acupuncture (dry needling) and kinesiology taping.

Lucy treats a wide range of complaints and works with patients of all ages. During her time in practice, Lucy has developed a keen interest in the treatment of babies, children and pregnant women. Lucy has continued to study pregnancy and paediatric spinal and cranial correction.

Lucy is passionate about helping patients reach their optimum health and function. This means reducing pain and getting to the root of the problem, not just treating the symptoms, in order to help prevent further injuries. Lucy believes in maintenance treatment and by doing rehabilitation (home exercises) patients can help sustain their optimum health to keep fit and active.

A former captain of her local women’s tennis team, Lucy was awarded Team Member of the Year and was nominated as Sports Woman of the Year by the regional Sports Council. Lucy was Under 18 Welsh Tennis Doubles Champion. Lucy enjoys sport, being active and has 3 children who keep her busy.

Lucy is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA).

Hiral Shah DC (MChiro)

Doctor of Chiropractic

Hiral’s passion for Chiropractic and how it presents as a distinct and necessary element in the quest for optimal health started as a child when she was first introduced to Chiropractic. During that time she loved understanding and experiencing the effects of an adjustment and so went on to study at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012.

Hiral, born and raised in Penarth, is also a professional dancer in South Wales and London; performing, teaching and choreographing dance for both audiences and TV alike. Her interests also include music, having played the piano for over 20 years, and yoga.

Now serving the community through Chiropractic, her aim is to help empower her patients to architect their own healthy life by educating on the importance of spinal health and nutrition.

She is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the United Chiropractic Association (UCA).

Ellie Robinson

Chiropractor DC (MChiro)

Ellie is from rural Pembrokeshire and moved to Cardiff to study at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and graduated with a Masters of Chiropractic degree (MChiro).

Having worked in Leisure Centres, providing health and wellbeing opportunities to the community for several years, she felt there was more she could offer, leading her to study chiropractic.

Ellie treats a wide range of complaints and is also qualified in western medical acupuncture (dry needling) and kinesiology taping. Ellie is passionate about helping people by assessing the underlying cause of a complaint. She is keen to assist people in achieving their goals by treating the body as a whole to help ease the pain they are in.

From personal experience, she also values the importance of exercise rehabilitation as part of the package of chiropractic care, enabling patients to reach and maintain optimum health and fitness levels.

Away from clinic Ellie spends the majority of her free time keeping active and exploring the outdoors with Sblot, her Border Collie! Sblot also loves a trip back home to the family farm with Ellie, where you’ll often find them both out in the milking parlour.

Ellie is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA)

Kirsty Kosciolek

DC (MChiro)

Kirsty is a graduate of the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a Master of Chiropractic degree (MChiro).

Kirsty is passionate about helping people of all ages, aiming to help people achieve their goals, maintain their optimum health and be the best version of themselves. She understands the importance of exercise on physical and mental wellbeing and promotes this, striving to help people combat pain and return to activity and more importantly return to doing the things they love most.

Kirsty treats a wide range of complaints and is qualified in western medical acupuncture (dry needling) and has completed additional courses in sports massage, pregnancy, and paediatric chiropractic care. After suffering with pelvic girdle pain during her pregnancy, Kirsty is keen to help mothers remain active during and after pregnancy making the demands of parenting (or preparing for parenting) a little easier.

Outside of the clinic you’ll find Kirsty enjoying quality time with her family, most likely on the beach regardless of the weather. With a love for dogs she often walks retired racing greyhounds for the greyhound trust and has fostered greyhounds helping them find their new homes.

Janet Hutchings

Janet Hutchings

Clinic Manager

Having spent the majority of her working life running restaurants, hotels and organising specialised private events, Janet decided 2 years ago that there was more to life and left this field of work for good.

Relishing a change of scene, and having recently trained as a reflexologist, Janet decided she would like to merge her customer skills within the healthcare sector. Janet loves meeting people and helping them. She provides great support and assistance to the clinical team.

Outside clinic hours, Janet also enjoys project managing building projects, taking her dog Bella for long country walks and travelling (when possible) with her husband and grown up daughters. If not possible, drinking a glass of rose with friends in the garden is just as good!

Sharon Gale

Clinic Assistant

Sharon is one of our friendly team of Clinic Assistants. Having worked in a number of customer focused roles she understands the importance of a warm welcome and making sure the patient is at the centre of all we do.

Sharon is a true country girl who grew up in Cornwall until finding herself, in recent years living in Monmouth surrounded by its hills and woodlands. Being a keen runner has seen Sharon complete the Cardiff half marathon a couple of times since living in Wales. She loves exploring the local area with her cheeky Border Terrier, Maggie. Coming from an Art and Design background at college Sharon loves learning new crafts and enjoys upcycling clothes and furniture.
